AURORA, N.Y. (March 19, 2012) – The Women's Lacrosse team scored a record 13 goals in their game this afternoon against Wells College.
The Raiders also set a defensive record by allowing a season low three goals.
The Raiders responded quickly after allowing the first goal a minute and half into the game. The visitors would score the next five goals to take control of the game halfway through the first half.
After Wells scored with 11:32 remaining in the first half, the Raiders went on to score nine unanswered goals over the rest of the game before Courtney Grosser stopped the onslaught for Wells.
The Raiders led in most categories including shots (28-6), groundballs (11-9), and draw controls (13-5).
With the win, the Raiders improve to 2-3 on the season and have won two of their last three games.
The team is back in action this Saturday when they face NCAA Division II opponent, Edinboro University on the road at 1pm.
