GREENSBURG, Pa. (March 24, 2012) – The Men's Lacrosse team lost 15-9 to Seton Hill University on the road this afternoon.

The Griffins, came into the game ranked 10th in the latest USILA poll, despite a record of 3-3. Last week, the Raiders lost 11-2 to a Molloy College team that had received votes.

The visitors, who have play four of their last five games on the road, fell behind early as the Griffins beat Matt Hamilton four times in the first four minutes of the game to go up 4-0.

The Raiders would respond in the 1st period with back to back goals from David Smith and Craig Petit to make it a 4-2 game. That would be as close as the Raiders would get as the Griffins scored three unanswered to close out the first half, going into the break with a 7-3 lead.

The Raiders would mount a comeback to start the 4th period, scoring three straight, to cut the Seton Hill lead to 12-9. However, the Griffins would close out the game with the goals coming in the last five minutes to seal the win.

Smith led the Raiders with three goals, bringing his season point total to 20 (16 goals, 4 assists). Colin Cornaire added one goal and two assists for the Raiders, he now has team-high 21 points (13 goals, 8 assists) on the season.
