RINDGE, N.H. (March 4, 2012) – The Men's Lacrosse team fell to the Franklin Pierce University Ravens this afternoon, 13-6.

The game, which was rescheduled from Saturday to today due to a winter storm earlier this week, was the Ravens' season opener.

Both teams racked up the penalties with a total of 24 in the game. The Raiders were unable to take advantage, scoring on only 1 of 11 extra-man opportunities.

The Raiders jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first period with two goals coming from Colin Cornaire.

The visitors led 5-4 with 12:21 on clock in the third period when David Smith notched his seventh goal of the young season. That would be the last lead for the Raiders as the Ravens scored six unanswered to take control of the game.

Cornaire paced the Raiders with three goals and two assists.

Smith led the team with 11 shots (six on target) in the game.

Freshman Anthony Nucci Laura was 11 of 22 on face-offs and led the team by picking up eight groundballs. As a team, the Raiders picked up 35 groundballs to the Ravens' 28.

With the loss, the Raiders fall to 0-2.
