MOBILE, Ala. (May 8, 2012) – The Men's Tennis team earned a berth into the semifinals of the NCCAA Tennis Championships this afternoon.
After earning wins over Northwestern (MN) College and Central Christian College, the Raiders earned one of the two spots from Pool A along with Spring Arbor University.
In the first match of the day, the Raiders downed Northwestern 5-1 with the lone loss coming in 1
st Doubles. In 6
th singles,
Jordan Sadowitz continued his spectacular play this spring by defeating Northwestern's Philip Gudim 6-1,6-0. Sadowitz has yet to lose a match this season.
The Raiders then downed Central Christian in the afternoon match, 5-0.
Julio Toledo and
German Michaylyszyn each recorded win in singles and doubles action to secure the win.
The team will close out the pool play tomorrow morning against Spring Arbor, which will determine the seedings for the semifinals.
