EDINBORO, Pa. (September 26, 2012) – The Women's Soccer team fell to the Edinboro (Pa.) State Fighting Scots this evening, 3-0 in non-conference action.
The Redhawks managed to keep a clean sheet until the 46
th minute when Karisa Fernandez scored from 25 yards out off a pass from Jansen Hartmann to break the stalemate.
Fernandez would score just three minutes later to make it 2-0 after sending home a shot from 12 yards out.
Edinboro then put the game away in the 54
th minute when Liz Debo scored after lobbing the ball over
Breanna Maggio to make it 3-0.
In the game, Maggio made four saves after facing 14 shots in the game.
The loss puts the Redhawks over record at 7-4-0 as they prepare for their homecoming game this Saturday they host New York Institute of Technology at 1pm.
