ROCHESTER N.Y. (September 29, 2012) - Women's Soccer improved their winning record with a victory over New York Institute of Technology in today's Homecoming match.
The Redhawks trailed 1-0 in the first half after the Bears scored a goal from a corner kick. But the Redhawks didn't back down and three minutes later, sophomore
Mandi Hochheimer buried a diving header from an outside cross delivered by
Brittany Houghton. The first half ended in a 1-1 tie.
In the second half, Roberts would tally another goal-- this time from Houghton who received a through ball and lasered it into the bottom right corner.
This proved to be the game winner and the match ended in a 2-1 victory for the Redhawks. Roberts travels to NYC next weekend looking to grab another win.
