BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (September 29, 2012) – the Volleyball team split two matches today on Long Island.
Match #1
In the first match of the day, the Redhawks fell in five sets to a talented NYIT squad. After the Bears won the first set 25-14, the visitors took charge by winning the next two sets before dropping the deciding match 15-6.
Gisela Ocasio led both teams with a match high 14 kills to go along with 11 digs.
Kendall Havener put up solid numbers with nine kills and seven blocks (1 solo, 6 assists).
Match #2
In the second match of the day, the Redhawks cruised to a 3-0 win against LIU Post.
Ocasio again posted a match high with nine kills to go along with her nine digs, and three aces. Both Havener and
Alexa Antoni had eight kills in the match.
After splitting the two matches, the Redhawks record is now 6-8 overall and 2-2 in the East Coast Conference.
The team is action this Friday (Oct. 5) when they host Mercy College at 7pm in the Voller Athletic Center.
