ROCHESTER, N.Y. (September 4, 2012) – The Women's Soccer team travels east on the Thruway this afternoon to take on the Le Moyne College Dolphins in non-conference action in Syracuse.
The Redhawks are coming off a 5-1 win road win against Malone (Ohio) University on Saturday.
The game is Le Moyne's home opener and is scheduled for 4pm.
SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (1-1-0/0-0-0 ECC)
Coming off a weekend split of two road games to start the season, the Redhawks are looking to close out their three-game road trip with a win.
After being shutout 1-0 to Walsh University on Friday, the team produced a five-goal output against Malone the next day.
Mandi Hochheimer and
Brittany Houghton each tallied two goals to give the visitors the win.
In goal, Beanna Maggio has allowed just one goal while making 12 saves over 154 minutes.
SCOUTING Le MOYNE (1-0-0/0-0-0 NE-10)
The Dolphins won their ninth consecutive season opener on Saturday, a 4-1 road win at Wilmington University.
Senior Christie Morano (Highland, N.Y.) netted two goals and notched an assist to lead Le Moyne in the victory. Morano is a two-time All-Northeast-10 Conference selection and is coming off a 2011 campaign that saw her score 10 goals (two game winners) while assisting on three more.
Le Moyne finished 2011 with a record of 4-13 overall and 3-12 in the competitive Northeast-10 Conference.
UP NEXT
The Redhawks will host a four-team tournament this Friday and Saturday with games against NAIA members Spring Arbor (Mich.) University and Rio Grande (Ohio) University. The Redhawks will face Rio Grande on Friday and Spring Arbor on Saturday. Both games are scheduled for 7:15pm.
Future East Coast Conference members, Daemen College rounds out the tournament with their games starting at 5pm each day.
