ROCHESTER, N.Y. (September 5, 2012) – The Women's Volleyball team defeated the Medaille College 3-1 this evening in the Redhawks' home opener.
The Redhawks, needed four sets to win the match and have not won (or lost) a match in three sets. The visiting Mavericks won the second set 25-18. Medaille used this match as their season opener.
Senior hitter
Alexa Antoni led the way with 13 kills and nine digs while teammate
Gisela Ocasio notched 10 kills to go along with 14 digs. Sophomore
Becca Maher finished the night with a team-high 16 digs, adding two kills from the libero position.
The Redhawks are now 2-3 on the season and will look to add more wins this Saturday when they travel to Clarion (Pa.) University this Saturday for matches against Clarion and Shepherd (W.Va.) University.
