ROCHESTER, N.Y. (September 7, 2012) - After an hour long delay due to a lightning storm, the Redhawks took flight in their home opener, defeating the visiting Rio Grande (Ohio) University, 4-0.
Roberts Wesleyan was led by
Anna Dominick, who came off the bench to score her first two goals of the season. Other goals from from freshman
Brittany Houghton in the 4th minute and from
Vanessa Sell in the 82nd minute. Sell's goal was a wonder goal in the form of a 25 yard blast from a free kick shot.
Breanna Maggio was able to earn her first clean sheet of the season.
The Redhawks imrpove to 2-2 on the season and will take on the visiting Spring Arbor (Mich.) University Cougars tomorrow evening at 7:15pm.
