ROCHESTER, N.Y. (January 16, 2013) – The Women's Basketball team visits the Lions of Molloy College on Thursdays with tip-off scheduled for 5:30pm.
SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (8-5/3-3 ECC)
The Redhawks come into their first meeting against Molloy having lost to Dowling College at home, 57-27. The score was the lowest output of the season for Roberts Wesleyan after shooting just 23.1% from the field.
Roberts Wesleyan will look to shake off their road woes with conference losses against St. Thomas Aquinas College and the University of the District of Columbia.
Brittany Williams continues to lead the Redhawks with 11.1 points per game. The forward is shooting 44.1% from the field and is a solid 75% free-throw shooter.
Freshman
Samantha Courtney is still scoring in double figures with an average of 10.2 points per game and has a team-best 52.2% shooting percentage from the field. Courtney is also second on the team with 7.3 rebounds per game.
SCOUTING MOLLOY (5-8/1-4 ECC)
The Lions edged Queens College 74-65 in overtime on Saturday to break a two-game losing skid. Molloy was led by Kelly Guerriero's 21 points after going 6 of 13 from the field and 4 of 7 from three-point range.
Guerriero leads Molloy with 10.5 points per game through 13 games this season. Both Alex Hampton and Christina Marra are averaging 9.8 points per game.
Molloy's scoring margin is -5.7 as they average 63.1 points per game.
On the boards, senior forward Ikema Ross leads the Lions with 8.1 rebounds per game. As a team, Molloy is averaging 43.2 rebounds per game.
UP NEXT
The Redhawks travel to Queens College this Saturday for a 2pm match-up. Roberts Wesleyan will return home next Wednesday when they host the University of Bridgeport at 6pm.
