ROCHESTER, N.Y. (January 25, 2013) – The Women's Basketball team hosts the University of the District of Columbia Saturday afternoon at 2pm in an East Coast Conference match-up.

Tickets are $3 at the door and are valid for the doubleheader with the men's game at 4pm. Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary faculty, staff, and students are free with a valid College ID card.
SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (8-8/3-6 ECC)
The Redhawks are looking to end a four-game skid tomorrow while evening the season series against the District of Columbia after falling 59-56 to the Firebirds on Dec. 15 in the nation's capital.
Sophomore forward
Marissa Sell made her return from a finger injury in Wednesday's 81-45 loss to the University of Bridgeport. Sell scored eight points to lead the Redhawks and is averaging 9.6 points per game through 10 games. Her scoring average is second best on the team.
Senior forward
Brittany Williams leads the team with 11.1 points per game.
As a team, the Redhawks are shooting 40.4% from the field while holding their opponents to just 34.4% from the field.
#Samantha Courtney continues to dominate the boards by averaging 6.8 rebounds per game this season.
SCOUTING DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (7-11/2-6 ECC)
The Firebirds come into the game having lost six of their last seven games. Their most recent victory came against Molloy College with a final score of 73-52.
Janelle Junior, a guard, leads the Firebirds with 11.9 points per game through 17 games this season. Denikka Brent is also in double-figures with 10.4 points per game.
Junior also leads the District of Columbia with 2.4 steals per game. As a team, the Firebirds average 9.5 steals, compared to their opponents 8.7 steals per game.
Three players are averaging at least 5.0 rebounds per game. Tatyana Calhoun leads with 5.6 rebounds per game with Denikka Brent averaging 5.3 and Robin Keke at 5.0 rebounds per game.
