RINDGE, N.H. (October 14, 2013) – The Women's Soccer team earned a 2-2 tie on the road this afternoon at Franklin Pierce University in non-conference play.
After conceding goals by the Ravens in the 10
th and 59
th minutes, Roberts Wesleyan was able to salvage the draw after
Brittany Foster slotted home a penalty kick in the 69
th minute before scoring again three minutes last to tie the game.
On the year, the senior forward has nine goals which puts her just one goal shy of her season total of 10 goals last year.
Franklin Pierce was the aggressor for most of the game, outshooting the Redhawks 24 to 14 in the game with the Ravens placing 11 shots on frame compared to Roberts Wesleyan's six shots on goal.
Marissa Sell was solid in goal for the Redhawks as she recorded nine saves in the draw.
The tie is the first of the season for Roberts Wesleyan and puts them at 7-3-1 on the year.
Up next for the Redhawks is a pair of home games this weekend when they host the University of Bridgeport on Friday at 5pm and Dowling College on Sunday at 3pm.
