Rochester, N.Y. (October 25, 2013) – Women's Volleyball fell to NYIT tonight in three sets (13-25, 14-25, 20-25). NYIT is currently first in East Coast Conference standings.
The first set was rough for Roberts; NYIT came in hard and quickly notched a high lead. In the second set Roberts started off keeping the score close. However, by the 5
th point NYIT started to pull away. Once a lead was established it was hard for the Redhawks to come back.
Jordan Wilson had the highest attack percentage for Roberts and had 7 kills.
Corey Phillips also totaled 7 kills for the Redhawks. Phillips also helped out defensively and combined with
Olivia Zureck for 15 digs.
Maggie Concannon totaled 25 assists and the lone ace for the Redhawks.
In the third set Roberts was able to keep it close. Wilson had several key kills early in the set to keep it close. In the end the Redhawks late efforts were not enough to gain the set.
Roberts play again at home tomorrow at 11AM against another tough competitor, LIU Post.
