ROCHESTER, N.Y. (November 21, 2013) – The Volleyball team will travel to take on Houghton College this Saturday at noon in the NCCAA East Region championship match.
The winner of the match will earn the East Region's automatic bid to the NCCAA National Championships, which are held Dec. 5-7 at the Kissimmee Civic Center in Kissimmee, Fla.
Roberts Wesleyan has already played the Highlanders twice this season in non-conference action, winning both matches in straight sets.
In the first match at Houghton, the Redhawks won 25-17, 25-23, 29-27 in a hard fought contest.
Kendall Havener led the visitors with 11 kills and a .579 hitting percentage.
At home on Tuesday, Nov. 12, Roberts Wesleyan won 25-14, 25-19, 25-15 with Havener agains leading the way with 18 kills off of just 24 attempts to finish with an impressive .750 hitting percentage.
