KISSIMMEE, Fla. (December 6, 2013) – The Volleyball team closed out the 2013 season with three-set losses to Azusa Pacific (Calif.) University and Bethel College (IN)  in the final pool play matches at the NCCAA National Championships.
Roberts Wesleyan, who fell 25-27, 13-25, 15-25 to the Cougars, were led by 
Jordan Wilson as she has a team-high eight kills. The middle blocker also tallied one solo block and five block assists in the match. On the season, Wilson led the team with 288 kills and second on the team with 59 total blocks.
Other leaders in the match for the Redhawks included 
Corey Phillips, who had six kills while 
Judy Schultz and 
Kendall Havener each posted five kills.  All three players had two block assists while Philips has 11 digs, just two less than 
Olivia Zureck, who posted a team-high 13 digs.
For Azusa Pacific, Christy Cain lead both teams with 10 kills and a .364 attack percentage. The Cougars were a perfect 3-0 in pool play as they advance to the semifinals where they will face Shorter Univeristy (GA).
The Redhawks took on the Bethel College Pilots hours later. They fellin three sets 18-25, 20-25, 18-25. Leaders included ,
Kendall Havener, who  totaled 9 kills with a .400 attack percentage.Havener avereged the highest attack percentage for her team this season (.338). Phillips led the R
edhawks with 10 kills, Wilson  added 7 kills.  Zureck led the Redhawks in digs and tied for match-high with
 Bethel's Alicia Carlton and Amanda Troyer with 16 digs. 
The losses cap the Redhawks' record for the 2013 season at 12-18. However, the season marked the notable achievements of earning their first-ever NCCAA East Region title and the program's first trip to a national championship tournament at any level.
