Men's Tennis Falls to #9 Aquinas (Mich.) College

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (February 9, 2013) – The Men's Tennis team fell 9-0 to the NAIA's 9th-ranked Aquinas College this afternoon in non-conference action.

Despite the shutout, the Redhawks were competitive in several matches.

In second doubles, Beka Buchukuri and Julio Toledo gave Aquinas' Kristoff Saari and Andy Struble all they could handle in a 9-7 match.

Jordan Sadowitz was competitive in fifth singles, falling 6-3, 6-4 to Struble.

The Saints' Nik Artaev needed an extra point to get by Sam Thorold in second singles, edging the mid-year transfer 7-5, 6-3.

The loss drops Roberts Wesleyan to 8-2 on the year and 1-1 in the spring season.

The Redhawks are off until next Sunday when they visit Hobart College in nearby Geneva, N.Y.
