Men's Lacrosse Falls to No. 2 Le Moyne

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (March 6, 2013) – The Men's Lacrosse team fell to the No. 2-ranked Le Moyne College, 19-5, this afternoon.

The meeting was the first between the two programs.

The Dolphins proved to be too much for Roberts Wesleyan as the home team pelted goalkeeper Matt Hamilton with 68 shots, putting 33 on frame. Hamilton stood tall by tying a program record 14 saves.

Brett Capps led the visitors by scoring a hat trick with goals in second, third, and fourth periods. Capps also led the Redhawks four total shots.

Dom Cianfarano and Tyler Kleehammer also notched goals for Roberts Wesleyan.

From the 'X', Anthony Nucci Lauria won 10 of his 23 faceoff attempts. Freshman Seth Miller won 2 of 3 faceoffs while picking up five groundballs.

Le Moyne's Nate Frechette led the team with four goals and two assists while Tyler Prevost scored once and posted five assists.

The loss drops the Redhawks to 2-3 on the season.

Up next for Roberts Wesleyan is a non-conference game when they host Walsh (Ohio) University this Saturday at 2pm.
