ERIE, Pa. (March 8, 2013) – The Men's Tennis team defeated the Fighting Scots of Edinboro (Pa.) University this afternoon, 8-1.
Edinboro entered the match ranked No. 4 in the Atlantic Regional rankings.
Sam Thorold and
Charles Farres won first doubles 9-8 (8-6) over Edinboro's Matias Aignasse and Brandon Romain.
Farres then went on to win at third doubles by defeating Kody Duncan 6-0, 6-3. Thorold also won at fourth singles, taking down Colin Bandell 6-2, 6-2.
Edinboro's lone win was at first singles as Kevin Caldwell defeated
Beka Buchukuri 6-1, 6-0.
The win improves the Redhawks overall record to 11-3 on the year as they take on Mercyhurst (Pa.) College tomorrow.
