ROCHESTER, N.Y. (April 12, 2013) – The Men's Tennis team fell to the visiting NYIT Bears this afternoon, 8-1, in a key conference matchup.
NYIT came into the match ranked fourth in the NCAA East Region.
The Redhawks had chances to close the gap after going 1-2 in doubles action, but lost at third, fourth and sixth singles in third sets.
The only point for the Redhawks came at first double where Charlie Farres and
Sam Thorold defeated NYIT's Mircea Dimofte and Nicolas Jubera, 8-6.
With the loss, the Redhawks record slipped to 15-5 overall and 2-2 in ECC.
Roberts Wesleyan continues East Coast Conference play tomorrow as they host Queens College, who currently ranked No. 3 in the NCAA East Region.
