Men's Lacrosse Falls to Wheeling Jesuit on the Road

WHEELING, W. Va. (April 13, 2013) – The Men's Lacrosse team fell on the road this afternoon, 14-6, in non-conference action to Wheeling Jesuit University.

The Redhawks were led by freshman Dom Cianfarano, who had three goals while senior Brett Capps added two for the visitors.

After trailing 6-0 last in the first period, Roberts Wesleyan scored four straight to cut the lead to just two points at the half. However, the
Cardinals responded in the second half by out-scoring the Redhawks 8-2.

In goal, Matt Hamilton made 11 saves for the Redhawks after facing 42 shots in the game as face-off specialist Anthony Nucci Lauria won 12 of 23 faceoffs.

For the Cardinals, Sean Wright scored a game-high four goals while notching two assists.

The loss drops Roberts Wesleyan 3-9 overall as they travel tomorrow to take on first-year program Alderson-Broaddus College at 2pm.
