Men's Lacrosse Visits Mercy Tomorrow in ECC Clash

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (April 19, 2013) – The Men's Lacrosse team travels to take on Mercy College tomorrow afternoon for a noon game.

SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (4-9/0-4 ECC)
The Redhawks come into the game having picked up their first win road win in over a month by defeating first-year program Alderson-Broaddus (W.Va.), 13-2. Dom Cianfarano led the way with five goals for the Redhawks.
 
Cianfarano currently ranks fourth in the East Coast Conference with 48 points (37 goals, 11 assists) through 13 games this season. The freshman is second in the conference in goals and leads the ECC in man-up goals (11).
 
Senior David Michael leads the team and is tied for fifth in the conference with his 16 caused turnovers this season with teammate Tim Davidson right behind with 14.
 
SCOUTING MERCY (7-4/1-3 ECC)
After starting the season by winning their first six games, the Mavericks have dropped four of their last five. In their last outing, Mercy fell to Chestnut Hill on the road, 12-8.
 
For Mercy, sophomore Jesse Wood leads the team with 42 points (22 goals, 20 assists). Senior Mike Marzocca is second in points, but leads the Mavericks with 27 goals through 11 games.
 
Goalkeepers Mike Cashman and AJ Pellati have shared time in front of the net this season. Pellati has started the four games with an 11.69 goals against average while holding a .496 saves percentage.
 
UP NEXT
Roberts Wesleyan hosts top-ranked Mercyhurst University this Tuesday at 7pm in their final non-conference game of the year. The Redhawks will then host NYIT on Arp. 27 before taking Dominican (N.Y.) the following Saturday in their season and home finale.
