Men's Tennis Falls to Niagara in Regular Season Finale

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (April 23, 2013) – The Men's Tennis team fell to Niagara University, 5-2, in their regular season finale.

Charles Farres and Jordan Sadowitz were winners in singles action for the visiting Redhawks.

At second singles, Farres downed the Purple Eagles' Michael Elortegui 7-5, 6-4 as Sadowitz won 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 10-4 over Joseph Smithyman at sixth singles.

In doubles play, Roberts Wesleyan was competitive, but dropped all three matches with a score of 8-4.

"This was a good match,” said Coach Tom Linhart. “This definitely helped us to prepare for the upcoming NCCAA National Championships in Mobile, Alabama."

Roberts Wesleyan finished the year with an overall record of 18-6, earning an at-large berth to the NCCAA National Championships, which will be held May 7-10.
