Men's Lacrosse Begin Four-Game Road Trip at Lake Erie on Wednesday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (April 9, 2013) – The Men's Lacrosse team travels tomorrow to take on Lake Erie (Ohio) College for a non-conference game at 6pm.
 
The Storm were placed just outside of the national rankings in the latest USILA Coaches Poll on Monday and are the only other team receiving votes in the poll.
 
SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (3-7/0-4 ECC)
The Redhawks continue their challenging schedule after having faced nationally ranked opponents in three of their last four games.  In their last outing, Roberts Wesleyan fell 15-2 at home to Molloy College.
 
The Redhawks will look to get their offence back into gear with freshman Dom Cianfarano leading the way with 35 points (26 goals, 9 assists) through nine games this season.  The attackman also holds a .541 shots on goal percentage.
 
On defense, senior David Michael leads the team with 14 caused turnovers while Tim Davidson is right behind with 12.
 
As a team, the Redhawks hold a .626 faceoff win percentage with Anthony Nucci Lauria taking the majority of faceoffs, winning 120 of 196 attempts.
 
SCOUTING LAKE ERIE (6-2/2-1 ECAC)
The Storm have won three of their last four games, including their last game which was a thrilling come-from-behind 14-13 win over Lindenwood (Mo.) University.
 
Senior attackman, Keegan Bal, leads Lake Erie with 37 points (21 goals, 16 assists)  with junior Trevor Tarte right behind with 35 points (30 goals, 5 assists).  Tarte comes into the game with a solid .733 shots on goal percentage, having put 44 of his shots on frame.
 
In goal, the Storm are led by freshman goalkeeper Tom Lipomi. The freshman has logged more than 400 minutes, posting a solid 7.86 goals against average and a .490 saves percentage. 
 
UP NEXT
The Redhawks continue their road swing as they travel to West Virginia this weekend. On Saturday, the team visits Wheeling Jesuit University for a 1pm game before taking on first-year program Alderson-Broaddus College on Sunday at 2pm.
