Rochester, N.Y. (September 20, 2013) - The Women's Soccer won their East Coast Conference opener, 4-0, this evening against Molloy College.Â
With the win, the Redhawks advance their record to 4-2 overall while improving their home win streak to four games.
The first goal came from
Brittany Foster through a penalty kick in the 32
nd minute to the Redhawks the lead.
Bella Mitrevski was soon to follow with a low driven shot to the far right corner, she scored again 86
th minute.
Brittany Houghton also scored late in the second half with a powerful drive from the far side of the box.
Molloy forwards worked hard to try to shorten Roberts lead but were unsuccessful. Junior GolieÂ
Marissa Sell recorded 11 saves.
The Redhawks pummeled the Lions defense, outshooting Molloy 25 to 12. Roberts Wesleyan also showed the depth of their team, using a variety of players from the bench.
On Sunday, Sep. 22 Roberts Wesleyan will play their second conference game when they host Queens College at 3:00 pm.Â
