OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. (September 22, 2013) – The Volleyball team wrapped up their three-match road trip with a 3-0 (11-25, 15-25, 22-25) loss to the undefeated Bears of New York Institute of Technology.
Roberts Wesleyan was led by freshman
Ashley Roxburgh, who had seven kills and five digs. Senior
Jordan Wilson recorded a team-high nine kills.
The visitors were unable to get their rhythm going on offense as they mustered a paltry .103 hitting percentage.
For the Bears, who improved to 8-0 and 1-0 in conference action, were led by Savannah Donarski's 16 kills.
The loss drops the Redhawks to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in the East Coast Conference.
They are back in action this Wednesday when they visit Houghton College for a non-conference match at 7pm.
