Oakdale, N.Y. ( January 18, 2014) – Men's Basketball fell to Dowling College this afternoon in conference play 67 – 84.
Roberts started out ahead with a lay up from Isaac Mederios Roberts would not see the lead for the rest of the game. Dowling overwhelmed Roberts in the first half ending 47 – 27.
The Redhawks marginally outscored Dowling in the second half, it was not enough to come back from such a large deficit. Roberts was able to get the scoring differential down to 9 with a dunk by
Kevin Madiamba assisted by William Bromierski in the 10
th minute of play.

Patrick Downer# led The Redhawks in points with going 6 for 8 from the field, 3 for 5 on the line and a perfect 2 for 2 from long range. Downer ended the game with 17 points 12 of which coming in the second half.
The majority of Bromirski's 15 points also came in the second half. Medeiros led Roberts in rebounds totaling 7 rebounds and 12 points. Another player to score in double figures for Roberts was
jordan Mcbride he added 10 points 4 rebounds and 3 steals for the Redhawks.
The loss drops the Redhawks to 7-7 and 3-5 in the ECC
The men's team is at home this coming weekend; they take on Mercy College Friday January 24 at 8 pm and St Thomas Aquinas College Saturday January 25 at 4 pm.
