Rochester, NY (January 25, 2014) - The Men's Basketball team fell to St Thomas Aquinas College 62 -68 at home this afternnon in conference play.Â
The game started out with the Spartans taking a slight lead, Roberts kept the score close and tied up the game several times. Fifteen minutes into play the Spartans had the lead by 13, their largest lead of the game. The Redhawks were able to chip away the lead to 4 in the last five minutes of the half.Â
In the second half Roberts was able to take the lead with less than 10 minutes to go. The Redhawks were unable to hold the lead and lost it with around 2 minutes remaining in the half to lose 62 -68.
Senior forward
Patrick Downer led the Redhawks in points totaling 18 points. Tryel Dixon earned a double double lead in rebounds and also notched a double double with 10 rebounds and 13 points.Â
William Bromierski went two for two from long range and ended the game with 8 points.Â
The loss drops Roberts record to 8-8 and 4-6 in the ECC.Â
The Redhawks look to pick up a win  this coming Tuesday January 28th on the road against Daemen College at 8 pm.Â
