AMHERST, N.Y. (Oct. 11, 2014) - The Men's Soccer team fell to their rivals, Daemen, 2-1 in overtime this afternoon in a crucial East Coast Conference match-up.

The first half ended scoreless for both teams before Daemen put pressure on the Redhawks early in the second half. The Wildcats managed to find the back of the net just two minutes into the second half when Caleb Holmes sent home a shot off a cross from the right side.
Despite having seven chances off of corners opposed to Daemen's one, the Redhawks struggled to capitalize. Roberts Wesleyan would eventually find salvation in the last five minutes of regulation play when senior
Michael Cunningham put away a free kick 25 yards out.

The first overtime period ended in a scoreless stalemate, but it would be the home team that delivered the golden goal from Alex Reid five minutes into the second overtime period to end the game to stun Roberts Wesleyan.

The loss drops the Redhawks to 6-3-2 overall and 3-3-0 in conference play.
