Rockville Center, N.Y. (October 17, 2014) – The Men's Soccer team fell 1-0 this evening to host Molloy College in a crucial East Coast Conference game.
The first half ended scoreless. The Redhawks put up an intense fight allowing only two shots on goal. Unfortunately, Molloy was efficient in shooting and was able to score off a break in the midfield in the 55
th minute of play. Roberts Wesleyan was unable to come back for the rest of the 90 minutes.
Michael Cunningham took three shots with just one on goal, he currently leads the Redhawks in scoring with nine goals which puts him at second in the ECC. Cunningham leads the ECC in assists with seven.
The game was physical with three yellow cards handed out, two to Molloy and one to Roberts Wesleyan.
The loss drops the Redhawks to 7-4-2 and 3-4 in the ECC.
Roberts Wesleyan continues on the road to play Queens College this Sunday October 19 at 1:30pm.
