FLUSHING, N.Y. (Oct. 4, 2014) – The Volleyball managed to dispatch the home standing Queens Knights this afternoon in straights in East Coast Conference action. The Redhawks won the match, which lasted just over an hour, with scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-21.
Over the three sets,
Courtney Taylor led the way with 10 kills for the Redhawks, which was a match-high.
However, it was senior middle blocker
Jordan Wilson who made a big impact for Roberts Wesleyan. Not only did she finish the match with eight kills and a .500 hitting percentage, but she also managed to notch two solo blocks while assisting on two more.
Junior setter
Maggie Concannon, who led the team with 26 assists, also picked up five kills on just six attempts.
The win puts Roberts Wesleyan at 7-5 overall and 3-2 in conference play. On the year, the victory is just the second match in which the Redhawks have won in three sets.
The Redhawks are back in action tomorrow as they visit Molloy for an 11am match.
