Men's Tennis Extends Win Streak, Downs Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (February 28, 2014) – Men's Tennis picked up a solid non-conference win this afternoon, defeating Philadelphia University, 8-1.

Julio Toledo and Robert Beer led the Redhawks to win, earning victories at fourth and fifth singles respectively.

Toledo won 6-1, 6-1 against the Rams' Nail Rachidi while Beer edged Long Vo by the score of 6-1, 6-2.

In doubles action Toledo teamed up with Beka Buchukuri at second doubles to down Ayman Barakat and Chris Casamassima, 8-3.  Beer and Emanuel Rauchle picked up a hard fought 8-5 win over Dylan Bhaerman and Long Vo.

Roberts Wesleyan is now 4-1 on the year as they prepare for a Sunday evening match at 7pm against Lake Superior (Mich.) State at Miller Tennis Center in Buffalo, N.Y.
