ROCHESTER, N.Y. (February 8, 2014) – The Men's Basketball team fell to Molloy College this afternoon, 78-55.
The loss saw the Redhawks shoot 38.3% from the field and a paltry 18.8% from long range.
The visiting Lions led for most of the game as they rode on the heels of Matt McLeod's game-high 20 points as he went 7 of 9 from the field and 5 of 7 from the free-throw line.
For Roberts Wesleyan, junior forward
Isaac Medeiros led the team with 16 points by going 7 of 11 from the field. The big man nearly got the double-double after hauling in nine rebounds. Defensively, Medeiros tallied two steals and a blocked shot.
Fellow forward
Tyrel Dixon also scored in double figures with 10 points while
Patrick Downer led with 13 rebounds, including nine in the first half.
The loss drops Roberts Wesleyan to 9-12 overall and 5-10 in the East Coast Conference.
They are off until next Sunday when they travel to take on the University of the District of Columbia with tip-off set for 1pm.
