ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 15, 2014) – The Men's Lacrosse team suffered their first loss of the season after falling 15-2 to No. 3 LIU Post this afternoon.
The visiting Pioneers used a six-goal second quarter to pull away from Roberts Wesleyan, who were unable to score until
Dom Cianfarano found the back of the net at the 10:24 mark in the third quarter.
LIU Post's Ryan Slane was nearly un-stoppable as he scored seven goals off of 10 shots while also adding three assists. Slane also picked up six ground balls and caused one turnover.
In addition to Cianfarano's goal, the Redhawks also saw
Mike Hubert score late in the fourth quarter.
Goalkeeper
Matt Hamilton was pressured throughout the game as he faced a total of 50 shots and making 15 saves.
The loss puts Roberts Wesleyan at 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the East Coast Conference.
The Redhawks will hit the road for the first time in nearly a month as they visit Dominican (N.Y.) College for their first conference road game of the year.
