WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (April 16, 2014) – The Men's Tennis team secured a second place finish in the final East Coast Conference standings with a 9-0 win at Daemen College on Tuesday.

The highlight of the match came when Emanuel Rauchle earned his 100th career victory as he and teammate Robert Beer downed Gregory Lowe and Zach Kinnaird, 8-1, at third doubles. He is just the fifth member of the program's "Century Club", joining teammate Julio Toledo who earned his 100th win earlier this season.

Rauchle, a junior, also won at sixth singles as he cruised by the Wildcats' John Wilson 6-0, 6-0.

At first singles, Beka Buchukuri downed Kiran Kudaravalli in close match 6-2, 6-4 after besting Kudaravallie and Wilson with Julio Toledo, 8-5, at second doubles.

The win puts Roberts Wesleyan at 13-5 overall and 5-1 in the ECC, which puts the Redhawks just one win shy of first place in the conference. It is also the second consecutive season the team finished second in the conference standings.

Roberts Wesleyan will now prepare for the NCCAA National Championships, which will be held May 4-9 at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala.
