Men's Lacrosse Falls in Final Home Game

Rochester, N.Y. (April 26, 2014) - The Men's Lacrosse team dropped 16 to 8 this afternoon in their final game of the season to Chestnut Hill.


The first quarter ended with Roberts down 4-2, #Matt Benedict scored both goals for the Redhawks assisted by Nick Wolac#. Benedict would end with 3 goals.


Roberts came back in the second quarter, Wolak scored both goals for the Redhawks. Wolak would end the game with 3 goals and his two assists from earlier. As a team Roberts kept Chestnut Hill to just one goal in the second quarter. Going into the 3rd Quarter, the Redhawks were trailing by just one point.

Chestnut Hill broke down the Redhawks defense in the second half. Roberts was just 12 of 20 clears. While Roberts was consistent in scoring 4 more goals in the second half, Chestnut Hill more than doubled their scoring in the second half.

#London Booker and Dom Cianfarano# each added one goal for the Redhawks, while goalie Steven Keefer posted 11 saves.

The lost puts Roberts final record at 6-9 and 2-6 in the conference.
