Men's Lacrosse Falls on the Road to Molloy

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (April 7, 2014) – After giving up nine goals in the second half, the Men's Lacrosse team fell to Molloy College, 13-3, this afternoon.

The Lions, who entered the game ranked 14th in Monday's USILA Coaches Poll, outscored Roberts Wesleyan 8-2 in the second stanza after leading just 4-1 at halftime.

In fact, the Redhawks opened up the scoring when Matt Benedict scored at the 12:51 mark in the first quarter. However, Molloy scored the next nine goals until Nick Wolak scored with 1:13 left in the third quarter.

Sophomore Dom Cianfarano then added the team's third and final goal with just 6:10 left in the game.

The loss is the third consecutive and fourth of the season, which have all come against ranked opponents.

In goal, Matt Hamilton made 14 saves as he faced 47 shots.

The Redhawks, who are now 6-4 overall and 2-3 in East Coast Conference action return home when they face Mercy College this Saturday at 1pm.
