ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Sept. 24, 2014) – The Men's Tennis team was handed their first loss of their fall season as the University of Rochester came up with a 9-0 win this afternoon.
Several matches could have gone either way as both teams battled hard. The No. 37-ranked Yellowjackets wrapped up their season with the win at home.
At first singles,
Charles Farres lost to Rochester's Julian Danko 6-1, 3-6, 7-5 as
Rene Torti fell to Sam Leeman 4-6, 6-0, 10-7 at fifth singles. At sixth singles,
Emanuel Rauchle dropped a close 6-7, 6-4, 10-6 match to Aaron Mevorach.
The loss puts Roberts Wesleyan at 2-1 on the fall portion of their schedule as they now prepare to travel to Flushing, N.Y. to participate in the ITA East Regionals this weekend.
