DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – After four players scored in double-digits, Roberts Wesleyan (9-3, 4-2 ECC) picked up their fourth-straight win by defeating Mercy (7-7, 1-6 ECC) this evening, 80-75.
The Redhawks, who have now scored 80 points or more three times this season, continued their dominance over Mercy as they are now 5-0 all-time against the Mavericks.

Redhawks Score Early and OftenThe visitors started the game with a bang as they shot out to a quick 9-2 lead less than three minutes into the game. At the mid-point of the first half, Roberts Wesleyan was cruising as they held a 22-11 lead over the Mavericks. With slightly less than five minutes remaining in the first half,
Marissa Sell gave the Redhawks a 12 point advantage.
With just 17 seconds left in the first half,
Lakiah Huff drained a three-pointer to give the Redhawks a commanding 19 point lead before Mercy's Erin Copeland hit a jumper with six second left on the clock.
The 50 points scored in the first half is the most Roberts Wesleyan has scored in the first 20 minutes of any game this season.

Mercy Rallys in Second HalfMercy started the second half with an astounding 17-0 run over the first five minutes of the second half. Mavericks climbed back to tie the game at the 15:17 mark when Mercy's Brandone Roberts converted a pair of free-throws.
Roberts would finish the contest with a game-high 24 points on a 10 of 17 effort. Roberts also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
At the mid-point, the Mavericks led 58-53 when Deasia Goodson hit a jump shot, giving the home team their largest lead of the game.

Balanced Scoring Puts Redhawks Ahead for GoodDown the stretch, Roberts Wesleyan regained the lead with a balanced offence that saw four players finish the game scoring in double-digits.
Lucy Covley once again led the Redhawks with 17 points. The freshman shot an even 50.0 percent fron the field as well as going 3 of 6 from long range and was a perfect 6 of 6 from the charity stripe.

Samantha Courtney tallied nine points as she converted 7 of 10 at the line.

Sell Narrowly Earns the Double-DoubleThe senior forward almost missed out on recording her ninth double-double of the season, but managed to haul in her 10
th rebound at the final buzzer. Sell, finished the game with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
