AMHERST, N.Y. (January 20, 2015) – The Men's Basketball team suffered an 83-63 setback on the road at Daemen this evening in an East Coast Conference contest.

Roberts Wesleyan (7-7, 3-5 ECC) never led in the game as the Wildcats (12-4, 7-1 ECC) extended their home winning streak to 43 games.

Redhawks Hang With Daemen in First HalfRoberts Wesleyan, who was playing with injured forward
Isaac Medeiros on the bench, managed to keep the Wildcats in check for most of the first half. Daemen's lead didn't swell to double-digits until the clock read 8:31 when Torrence Dyck made a layup, making it a 23-13 ball game.

Things Get Out of ControlAfter going into the locker room trailing 39-27, Daemen pulled away even further in the second half as they led by as much as 28 points near the end of the game. In the second half, the Wildcats held a double-digit lead for nearly the entire 20 minutes.

Roberts Wesleyan did manage to cut into the hefty deficit five minutes into the half when
Marcus Gooding hit a pull-up three, making it just a nine point lead for Daemen.

Stone Was Solid for the RedhawksMike Stone was a bright spot for Roberts Wesleyan as he hit 4 of 6 from long range to finish with a team-high 16 points. The guard finished 5 of 8 from the field and a perfect 2 of 2 from the charity stripe.

Marcus Gooding added 10 points, going 4 of 13 from the field. Â
