ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Despite a strong start, Roberts Wesleyan volleyball fell to Dowling this afternoon in four sets.
After trailing 15-10 in the first set, the Redhawks went on an 11-point rally before holding on for a 25-20 win, which was the first set the team had won on their home court this season.
Dowling then took over the rest of the way as the visiting Golden Lions ended the match with an effective .328 hitting percentage.
Sophomore outside hitter
Courtney Taylor led Roberts Wesleyan with 14 kills in the match while
Kate Steger added eight kills.
Shelby Strasbaugh was productive on the defensive end as she was credited with 14 digs to go along with three service aces.
Roberts Wesleyan visits Daemen this Tuesday at 7 p.m. before hosting Mercy next Saturday at 12 p.m.
