Women’s Soccer Gets Past ECC Rival

Brittany Houghton found the back of the net early in the second overtime session for the game-winner

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Redhawks came up with the win in an exciting fashion in tonight's double overtime conference matchup against Daemen. While the visiting Wildcats led for the majority of the game off of a goal from Andrea D'Sa in the fifth minute; a goal from Bella Mitrevski in the 73rd minute of the game propelled the Redhawks into overtime.

Brittany Houghton scored the game winning golden goal 56 seconds into the second overtime to seal the Redhawks victory. Mitrevski picked up her third yellow card of the season in what proved to be a true defensive battle.

Turning Point
When Mitrevski put her shot in the back of the net near the end of regulation, Daemen did not have much time to answer the goal.

Individual Leaders
- Taylor Fletcher had one shot in the game for the Redhawks which was on frame early in the first half.
- Goalkeeper Mary Kate Eckert picked up four huge saves in the game bringing her season save total to 50.

Inside the Box Score
- Mitrevski and Houghton are tied for number one in goals this season for the Redhawks. Both have nine through nine games.
- Daemen's Sarah Britton and Stephanie Zurales both had their sole shot be on frame in the game.
