BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Playing in the program's first ever NCAA tournament game, four-seed Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer fell to five-seed LIU Post in penalty kicks after earning a 1-1 draw with the Pioneers.
LIU Post managed to edge the Redhawks 5-3 in the penalty kick shootout, advancing to the second round where they will face top-seeded Bridgeport on Sunday.

Brittany Houghton gave the Redhawks a 1-0 lead in the 62
nd minute, LIU Post scored with just seven minutes remaining to force the game into overtime.
Individual Leaders- All five of
Bella Mitrevski's shots were on target while the junior also earned the assist on Houghton's goal.
- Houghton, a senior, earned her 11
th goal of the season as she tallied two shots against the Pioneers.
Inside the Box Score- Both teams played the game evenly as the Redhawks notched seven shots on goal to the Pioneers' eight.
- The two teams also had four corner kick opportunities while they were both called offside twice.
News & Notes- In all three meetings against LIU Post this season, the games have gone into overtime.
- Despite the loss in the shootout, Roberts Wesleyan officially ends their season with a draw, giving the team their third tie of the season, their most since 2009 when they earned six draws.
