ROCHESTER, N.Y. (February 28, 2015) -  In this afternoon's home opener, Roberts Wesleyan (2-1) falls to Slippery Rock, 7-13. 

Cassley Jackowski put the Redhawks first on the board. Within the next three minutes, Ali Fox scored another goal, giving the Redhawks a 2-0 lead. Slippery Rock (1-0) responded with a 3-0 run in a 15 minute span, putting them ahead 3-2. To tie it up, Cassley Jackowski scored her second goal off of a free position shot.

With three minutes left, Slippery Rock went on another 3-0 run, giving them a 6-3 lead just before half time. Ali Fox scored her second goal off of a free position shot with 0:33 left in the first half. The Redhawks go into half time down 4-6. 

Coming out of half time, Loren Dunn was the first to score bringing the Redhawks closer to gaining the lead. Slippery Rock then dominated the second half by going on a 5-0 run and putting them ahead 11-5 with 13:50 left in the game.

Each team was able to only score twice after that before the game came to an end. 

Slippery Rock was led by Kaytlin Callaghan and Paige Costantino with three goals each. 

In goal, Shannon Knapp took the loss after making 17 saves.

The Redhawks will be at home again Tuesday, March 3 as they take on Grand Valley State University.
