ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 3, 2015) -  In today's afternoon game, Roberts Wesleyan fell to Grand Valley State, 10-5. 

Cassley Jackowski put the Redhawks (2-2) on the boards first less than four minutes into the game. The Lakers (1-2) responded with two goals in the next two minutes, giving them the lead. 

As the first half continued, both teams battled to gain the lead. Going into halftime the score was tied 4-4. 

Coming out onto the field after halftime, Grand Valley was the first to score within the first four minutes giving them the lead until Ali Fox found the back of the net for the Redhawks. The Lakers then responded with a 5-0 run in the last 13 minutes of the game, giving them a final score of 10-5. 

Ali Fox led the Redhawks in points with two goals and one assist. Cassley Jackowski added another two goals and Loren Dunn found the back of the net once. 

In goal, Shannon Knapp had six saves out of 16 shots on goal. 

The Lakers had six girls score in today's game and were led by Erika Dosenberry who scored three goals. 


The Redhawks will play again at home on Saturday, March 7 at 12 p.m. as they take on the University of Bridgeport.
