PHILIPPI, W.Va. (April 2, 2015) – A seven-goal first quarter by Alderson-Broaddus was the difference as the Redhawks fell to the Battlers in non-conference action this afternoon, 15-12.
The Battlers shot out to a 5-0 lead over the first ten minutes of the first quarter before
Mike Hubert stopped the bleeding with the first of his seven goals with 4:35 remaining in the quarter.
The sophomore tallied another two goals in the quarter to keep Roberts Wesleyan in the game, making it a 6-3 advantage for the Battlers through the first 15 minutes.

Matt Benedict managed to stop a three-goal run from Alderson-Broaddus with six minutes remaining in the second quarter to take the Redhawks into halftime down, 9-4.
After the Battlers outscored Roberts Wesleyan 3-2 in the third quarter, the visitors scored six times in the fourth, but it proved too little too late.
Hubert finished the game with seven goals and three assists as both Benedict and
Dom Cianfarano each notched two goals.
Cody Lewis rounded out the scoring for the Redhawks with one goal.
In goal,
Keith Keehn recorded 10 saves in the loss after facing a total of 48 shots.
The loss puts the Redhawks at 3-7 on the season as they resume East Coast Conference action this Saturday at Mercy. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
