Women's Soccer Falls to Cedarville 4-1

Early goals doomed the Redhawks in the non-conference game

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The visiting Cedarville Yellow Jackets scored early and often against the Roberts Wesleyan; giving up the first goal in the 3rd minute of the game to Cedarville forward, Kaitlyn Stiles.

The Redhawks, determined to continue the fight scored in the 47th minute of the game. The goal coming from forward Brittany Houghton and assisted by midfielder Adrianna Russell went on to go unanswered until the 83rd minute when Stiles would go on to score two goals back-to-back.

Turning Point
After scoring early in the second half the Redhawks kept battling for the win, taking eight shots after the goal.

Individual Leaders
- Houghton's goal in the second half marks her fifth goal of the 2015 season. Her consistent performance leads the Redhawks in scoring through four games.
- Russell recorded her first assist in the game, making it easy for Houghton's shot to find the back of the net.

Inside the Box Score
- Cedarville placed five shots on frame, with four of them finding a way around goalkeeper Mary Kate Eckert.
- There was one yellow card in the game for the Redhawks coming from midfielder Bella Mitrevski. This is the fifth yellow card for the Redhawks this season.
- Ronja Rimsler and Courtney Hartnett both had shots on frame which ultimately ended in saves by Cedarville goalkeeper Hanna Harris.

News & Notes
- The Redhawks were looking to even the all-time series against Cedarville, but are not 3-5-1 against the Yellowjackets.
