SPARKILL, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer continued their winning streak Sunday afternoon, defeating Mercy on the road, 2-1.
Bella Mitrevski was the standout in the win, scoring goal in the 12
th and 17
th minutes.
Mercy got one back in the 21
st minute, but the Redhawks' defense managed to hold Mercy to the single goal.
Turning PointMitrevski's first goal in the 12th, coming off a direct kick from 20 yards out.
Individual Leaders- Mitrevski scored her sixth and seventh goal of the season in the win.
- Mark Kate Eckert made four saves to earn the victory.
Inside the Box Score- The Redhawks had only two corner kick opportunities.
- Mercy outshot the Redhawks 12 to 8, however Roberts Wesleyan had the same amount of shots on goal.
- There were five yellow cards in the game with
Ellie Swan and
Teara Thomas each picking up a yellow.
