ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer opened their 2015 campaign in resounding fashion this evening, earning a 5-1 win at home against Le Moyne in a non-conference meeting.
 
After sitting out last season due to injury, senior Brittany Houghton looked to be in top form, scoring twice to lead the Redhawks. The forward, who came off the bench, tallied the game's second and third goals to lift Roberts Wesleyan to a commanding 3-0 lead early in the second half.

Turning Point 
After Houghton's second goal in the 49^th minute, Jodi Kester put the game away fifteen minutes later off of a feed from Courtney Hartnett, putting the score at 4-0 in favor of the Redhawks.
 
Individual Leaders 
- Bella Mitrevski notched a pair of assists, providing the final passes on the opening goal by Orla Martin in 15^th minute and Houghton's first goal 12 minutes later.
- Freshman goalkeeper Mary Kate Eckert played nearly 70 minutes in front of the net, making seven stops to earn the win.
 
Inside the Box Score 
- The visiting Dolphins edged Roberts Wesleyan in corner kicks and shots, but were unable to convert on their opportunities.

News & Notes 
- Roberts Wesleyan have now opened the season three-straight times with wins against the Dolphins.
- Despite being outshot 18 to 16, the Redhawks held the advantage in shots on goal, 11 to 8.
- The five goals by Roberts Wesleyan is the most since Sep. 6, 2014 when they throttled Nyack, 7-3.
