PHILIPPI, W.Va. – Roberts Wesleyan men's lacrosse fell to Alderson Broaddus Friday afternoon, 16-5, in their fourth road game of the week.
The home standing Battles shot out to an 8-0 lead before
Cody Menzies stopped the bleeding with just 2:59 remaining in second quarter.
The Redhawks then conceded another four goals before
Dom Cianfarano notched his 15
th goal of the season late in the third quarter. Roberts Wesleyan scored three goals in the fourth quarter, but it was too little, too late as the visitors dropped their season straight game.
The game was a chippy affair as a total of 23 penalties were called, 10 of which came in the fourth quarter.
Menzies ended the game with a pair of goals while Cianfarano  and
London Booker each scored once while also earning an assist.
The loss puts the Redhawks at 2-2 on the early season as they are off until March 2 when they visit Walsh in Canton, Ohio for a non-conference affair.
